The City of Walnut Creek in California replaced their 2500w metal halide fixtures with our 650w LED stadium flood lights (USFL650WGL) at the city recreational pool. By doing so they reduced energy consumption by 74%, significantly increased light levels/spread, and virtually eliminated lighting maintenance for the next 20+ years. Walnut Creek also received a significant rebate from their local municipality to help pay for the new energy efficient LED lights. The City plans to implement many more LED lighting projects this year because of their satisfaction with the first project.
